A DDP, Disc Description Protocol, is a format used for CD replication. This file allows Audocs or another post-production facility to embed CD text, ISRC codes and UPC codes. Files are stored in a zip folder and transported digitally. Audocs doesnt need DDP files to manufacture CD’s. But use them to store CD/LP information in a zip folder. We recommend using them or sending DDP to use to insure all CD’s are manufactured to your specification. In addition if you need create DDP files, contact Audocs or utilize our encoding service.
Also, If you plan on manufacturing CD’s with another facility or service, check with the manufacturing plant, to verify DDP submission is possible.
